The short version
- This policy covers both the marketing site (www.4cori.com) and the 4Cori patient library pages (video.4cori.com and clinician subdomains).
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics) load only after you accept. Decline and you can still use either site normally.
- A few essential items are stored without consent because the sites need them to work: your cookie choice and your language preference.
- We don't use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store. Sites use them for different reasons: to make the site work (necessary cookies), to understand how people use it (analytics cookies), or to track users across other sites for advertising (marketing cookies).
Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixel tags, are covered by the same rules. We treat them the same way in this policy.
The marketing site (www.4cori.com)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the marketing site is used. It loads only after you accept the cookie banner. Until then, Consent Mode keeps it from storing anything or setting analytics cookies. We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which measure aggregate traffic and performance without cookies and without identifying you. The contact form is plain React state and doesn't persist between visits.
| Cookie / storage | Set by | Purpose | Needs consent? | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4cori-consent-v1 | 4Cori (local storage) | Remembers your accept/decline choice | No, essential | Until you clear it |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Analytics: how the site is used | Only after you accept | Up to 2 years |
| Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights | Vercel | Aggregate traffic & performance (cookieless) | No cookie set | None |
The patient library pages (video.4cori.com & clinician subdomains)
If you reached this policy from a clinician's video library, the same principle applies: analytics load only after you accept the cookie banner on that page. A few essential items are stored so the library works, and we keep anonymous, aggregate view statistics for the clinician using a short-lived session key. This never stores your full IP address.
| Cookie / storage | Set by | Purpose | Needs consent? | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4cori_cookie_consent_v1 | 4Cori (local storage) | Remembers your accept/decline choice | No, essential | Until you clear it |
| 4cori_lang_… | 4Cori (local storage) | Remembers your language preference | No, essential | Until you clear it |
| 4cori_viewer_session, 4cori_play_… | 4Cori (session / local storage) | Anonymous, aggregate view statistics for the clinician (pseudonymised, no full IP stored) | No, legitimate interest | Session / ~1 minute |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics (if the clinician enables it) | Analytics: how the library is used | Only after you accept | Up to 2 years |
| Vercel Analytics | Vercel | Aggregate traffic & performance (cookieless) | Only after you accept | None |
| Vimeo player cookies | Vimeo | Plays the embedded videos; Vimeo may set its own cookies when a video loads | Set when you play a video | Per Vimeo's policy |
To geolocate views at city/country level for the clinician's statistics, a shortened, non-identifying form of the IP address is looked up via a third-party geolocation service. Full details of who processes patient data are in our Privacy Policy.
What our hosting and DNS providers may set
We rely on Vercel for hosting and Cloudflare for DNS and edge security. These providers may set short-lived cookies or use similar technologies for security, load balancing, and bot protection. These are essential to delivering the site safely. They do not identify you personally and are not used for marketing.
What is likely to change
As our products grow we expect to introduce further tools, such as Brevo email-open tracking for subscribers who opt in. We'll update this page before any new tracking goes live, and we'll ask for your consent first where the law requires it (analytics and marketing cookies in the UK generally do).
How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. The major browsers all have instructions on their support pages:
Blocking necessary cookies may break parts of the site, particularly the future course platform.
